Breaded Maitake Mushrooms

One of our favorite ways to enjoy fall is with lots of Breaded Maitake Mushrooms. A splurge-worthy treat that’s naturally gluten-free, your whole family will beg for more!

Prep Time: 5 Min

2 cups Maitake Mushrooms 1 large Egg 1 cup White Rice Flour 1 teaspoon Seasoned Salt 1 cup lard or other cooking fat

Cook Time: 5 Min

Ingredients

Clean your Maitake Mushrooms and break into individual pieces

Dip Mushrooms into egg wash

Step 3

Coat with white rice flour breading mixture

Step 4

Arrange breaded mushroom in a single layer on a wax paper lined pan and freeze for 30+ minutes

Step 5

Preheat cooking fat to 350F Working in small batches, fry your breaded mushrooms for 2-3 minutes or until crispy.

Remove from the oil, drain on a paper towel lined plate. Season with salt.

Enjoy with a squeeze of fresh lemon or your favorite dip!
