Ingredients

Picnic Smoked Shoulder Ham

Sprite, 7-Up or Ginger ale
divided (save 2T for glaze)
For the Glaze
1/2
cup
Brown Sugar
2
tablespoons
flour
2
tablespoons
dijon mustard
1
teaspoon
prepared horseradish
2
tablespoons
ginger ale
sprite or 7 up which ever you use above

Instructions
Remove packaging from picnic ham. Discard any liquid.
Place picnic ham in stock pot, cover with water. Simmer for 3 hours.
Preheat oven to 350F
Once simmered, transfer ham to a roasting pan. Pour 1 can of soda over top (reserving 2T for the glaze). Cover tightly with foil.
Bake at 350F for 1 hour, DO NOT BASTE, DO NOT PEEK
While ham is baking, mix glaze ingredients and set aside.
Remove ham from oven and discard foil. Throughly coat ham with glaze. Do not discard the any liquid in the pan from the initial baking.
Bake glazed ham, uncovered, for 30 minutes at 350F
Increase heat to 400F and bake for an additional 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove finished ham from the oven and let it rest for 15-30 minutes before serving.
