The Best Way to Grill Salmon
High quality wild caught salmon isn’t cheap and nothing is worse than over cooking it. I understand completely how you might hesitate to try a new method of cooking, like grilling.

How to Salmon in the Ninja Foodi Grill
This Ninja Foodi Grilled Salmon w/Sriracha Honey Glaze is an explosion of deliciousness in your mouth. It’s one of those recipes that even people who shy away from salmon, will ask for seconds.
Of course you’re going to need salmon to make this keto salmon recipe. If you don’t have a local fish monger who stocks high quality wild caught seafood, I strongly recommend Vital Choice. Not only for their delicious wild caught salmon but also their huge selection of other high quality seafood as well.
And you’ll be making a delicious keto sauce using a few basic Asian-inspired ingredients:
- Coconut aminos, Tamari or Soy Sauce
- Golden Monk Fruit Sweetener
- Sriracha Hot Sauce
- Garlic, preferably fresh
- Ginger, preferably fresh
- Toasted Sesame Oil
- Salt
- Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Skin side up, marinate your salmon filets in the firecracker sauce for a few hours, but ideally overnight. Longer = more flavor!
Then preheat your Ninja Foodie Grill on high. Grill your salmon for 15 minutes, skin side down. Do NOT flip them!! Let that skin get nice and crispy.
While your salmon is grilling, transfer the marinade into a small skillet or sauce pan and reduce it over medium heat until it’s reduced by roughly half.
Drizzle the thickened firecracker sauce over your grilled salmon right before serving.
To make it look ultra fancy, garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

Ninja Foodi Grilled Salmon w/Sriracha Honey Glaze
Equipment
Ingredients
- 4 6-8 ounce wild caught salmon filets
- sea salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
- sesame seeds for garnish, if desired
- scallions, sliced thinly for garnish, if desired
For the Keto Firecracker Sauce
- 1/4 cup coconut aminos
- 1/4 cup Golden Monk Fruit Sweetener
- 1/4 cup Sriracha Hot Sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic pressed or minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes optional for extra heat
Instructions
- Combine all sauce ingredients and mix well.
- Pour sauce into a casserole dish or other high sided dish. Place salmon filets, skin side up in the sauce. Season the skin with sea salt and black pepper.
- Allow salmon to marinate for a few hours or up to overnight.
- Preheat your Ninja Grill on High
- Place marnated salmon, skin side down on the grill. Close lid and grill for 15 mintues. Do Not flip!
- While salmon is grilling, transfer leftover marinade to a small sauce pan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Allow to thicken slightly, 2-3 mintues stirring often.
