7 Reasons we bought a 2025 Toyota Crown Signia
Thinking about upgrading your ride? We recently took the plunge and bought a 2025 Toyota Crown Signia, and let me tell you, it’s been a game changer! In this post, I’m sharing 7 reasons that made us fall head over heels for this luxurious crossover SUV/Wagon. Whether you’re a car enthusiast or just looking for a reliable vehicle that turns heads, you’ll want to stick around for our insights on why the Crown Signia is worth considering. Let’s dive in!

Not to be confused with the Toyota Crown Sedan, the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia is a newly released vehicle. This is considered by Toyota to be a crossover SUV but many, like myself, feel it’s more of a wagon with its direct competition being other similar sized wagons like the Subaru Outback.
It’s kind funny, we have watched our friends getting new cars every 3-4 years while we continued to drive our 2008 Prius all along. Keeping a car for 17+ years is rare!
- Reliability and Value – Toyota’s are ranked as a top brand for both value and reliability year after year. Which we experienced first hand with our amazing 2008 Prius that we are still driving after 17+ years! And in those 17 years, other than regular maintenance, we have only had to replace only one $50 part. Talk about getting your money’s worth out of a car, right? So staying with Toyota for our new car was a no-brainer.
- All the Luxury without the High Price- I admit that I like nice things, like REALLY nice things. I wanted that luxury feel in our next vehicle, but I did not want to purchase a luxury brand. That’s what the Crown Signia is doing best, it’s truly a Luxury Lexus only with a Toyota emblem! And after pricing out the comparable Lexus model, to get all the features we wanted in the Crown Signia, it would have cost us at least +$20,000 MORE for the luxury brand!
- I want my Hybrid MPG – Perhaps the biggest issue I had with the other cars that were in the same category was their lower MPG. Once you have that Hybrid MPG, like our 45mpg average in our Prius, you just can’t go back! For example, a Subaru Outback offers 22 MPG vs the Crown Signia’s 39 MPG, Toyota for the winner-winner-chicken-dinner MPG.
- More Room for STUFF – Both of our vehicles (’00 Jeep Wrangler and ’08 Prius) are really small with not much extra space. And that worked for us for a long time, until we started traveling back and forth to Lake Erie routinely. We didn’t want or need a full size SUV but wanted something a smidge bigger, making a the wagony/suv crossover of the Crown Signia, just enough without being too much – after all it’s just Me+Hubby+Dog, we didn’t need 3rd row seats!
- AWD – The only downside to our Prius is that it’s not good to drive it in the snow or yucky roads. And that’s why we kept our ’00 Jeep Wrangler around, for bad weather and winter driving. We wanted a more well-rounded vehicle for our next, with AWD and the Crown Signia offers the most advanced Hybrid AWD systems available! Now we can feel more confident on rough roads, snowy conditions and not fight the automatic traction control that our prius has!
- Love at First Sight – The biggest reason that it took so long for me to decide that I was ready to buy a new car was that I just didn’t fall in love with any other vehicles enough to compensate for the hassle of buying a new car AND parting with our hard-earned money! I first saw a Storm Cloud Blue CS with black interior and thought it had potential, but it wasn’t “it” – but when I saw the Optical White CS with saddle brown leather interior, I fell head over heels. I fell hard and fast. 1 week later and the deal was done!
- Supply and Demand – Lastly, I will admit something to you since we’re friends. I also LOVE that this is a NEW and hard-to-find vehicle. Rare and unique are my thing! My first car (back in 1994) was a classic 1971 Volkswagen Karman Ghia and my second car was an 1989 Toyota MR2. I’ve never been one to blend in, I’m more of a stand out kinda-gal! In the first 3 weeks we’ve had our Crown Signia, we have not seen ANY others on the road.

I know that under most normal circumstances, one would suggest avoiding a new model in it’s first release but the Crown Signia is what’s referred to as a ‘parts bin special‘ — that’s not negative! Toyota combined all their best along with Lexus’, proven parts and used them in the Crown Signia but put them into a new, more modern wagon body style with a 10/10 luxury interior. There isn’t any new hybrid system or CVT that’s needs the bugs worked out, it’s proven winners all ways around.
Other things that came into play is that the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia, Limited with Advanced Technology Package is that it has all the bells and whistles we could ask for. In addition to the luxurious saddle brown LEATHER seats (not fake leather, the real deal) it also has heated/ventilated front seats and steering wheel, heated rear seats, all the technology and has tons of safety features – perhaps even more things than I’ll ever understand! We also added the factory towing package to haul our e-bikes on a trailer as well as a dash camera and lots of extras.

Blanche, as we are calling her, is exceeding our expectations. She’s fun to drive, plenty of get-up-and-go power, looks stunning and I’m a comfy, cozy passenger princess ready for long drives to the lake as soon as spring gets here!
How did we Customize our 2025 Toyota Crown Signia
As soon as we picked up our Crown Signia from the dealer, our first stop was to drop her off to be ceramic coated and her windows tinted. We also swapped out the US-Toyota Logo cent caps for the Japan-Toyota Crown emblems.

I also did a full overhaul of the back seat area to protect it from damage while traveling with our dog Argos. You can see all the details on How to Keep your Dog Safe & Comfortable while Traveling

We also added a few tiny detail items like Sunglass holders for the visors, a luxury air freshener, large lighted mirror, tiny trash cans, etc.
Conclusion
In conclusion, if you’re in the market for a luxury vehicle that won’t break the bank, the Crown Signia is hard to beat. With its all-wheel drive and impressive hybrid MPG, it perfectly balances performance and efficiency. You get so much bang for your buck without sacrificing style or comfort. So, if you want a ride that checks all the boxes for luxury and practicality, the Crown Signia is definitely worth considering!
