Gluten-Free Cream Chip Beef
I have a thing for gravy. Gravy on all the things; especially for breakfast. It’s definitely a neck and neck race for my favorite breakfast gravy; Sausage Gravy or Cream Chip Beef. Both delicious but Cream Chip Beef has such a special place in my heart.
My mom and grandmother both made Cream Chip beef often, but not always for breakfast. We enjoyed it anytime of the day, served on toast, biscuits and even overtop of crispy fried potatoes. No matter how or when it was served, Cream Chip Beef is my type of comfort food.
You’re also going to need some biscuits to serve this gravy awesomeness on, I have a couple recipes for you to choose from:
- Gluten Free Southern Cast Iron Butter Drop Biscuits (pictured)
- Eikorn Butter Dip Buttermilk Biscuits
- Paleo Cassava Flour Biscuits
- Grain Free Buttermilk Biscuits
Using half and half with cream cheese, makes the gravy thick and creamy without being loaded with gluten or carbs!

What’s the point of this recipe WITHOUT the macro nutrition information?
Not sure if you know this, but you are welcome to calculate them yourself if you feel it’s necessary to track macros. However, I just checked and the nutritional info IS included in the recipe card… so in this case it seems like a reader error and not a human error by me! Hope you have a great day and 2024!
Oh, my stars! You do not even k ow how excited finding this recipe has made me!! Chipped beef on toast is one of my absolute favorite meals. Unfortunately, besides the carb-loaded factor, I don’t make it because my husband hates soggy bread. However, now I can make it low carb and hopefully there will be a Keto biscuit that he will be able to eat it on (he does like biscuits and sausage gravy). I cannot wait to give this recipe a try! Thanks in advance from the bottom of this southern girl’s heart!
