Grilled Pork Shoulder Steak
Pork Shoulder Steaks are my hubby’s favorite dinner! Whether pan fried in a cast iron skillet, broiled, gilled or breaded – all equally his favorite! Also, they are an affordable cut of meat.. a 2# shoulder steak from a local farm was about $10.
Here’s how I made my Grilled Pork Shoulder Steak:
- 2 pound Pork Shoulder Steak
- 1t Garlic Powder
- 1t Onion Powder
- 1T Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2T Organic Olive Oil
- 1/2t Sea Salt
- 1/2t Black Pepper
Combine everything together in a BPA-Free Zipper Close Plastic Bag, allow to marinate 4 to 24 hours.
Pork is one of those meats that turn out the best when cooked quickly or cooked low-n-slow. Lean meats do best cooked quickly, while pork shoulder steaks, it’s better to cook slow-n-low since they are fatty…the slow cooking allows the fat to cook well (especially yummy/crispy on the outer edges – our favorite part!)
Grill (or broil) your pork steaks over medium/low heat, for a 2 pound pork steak I’ll cook it slow-n-low for about an hour and and a half, then let it rest for at least 15 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
