Margarita Shrimp

Margarita shrimp

These Margarita Shrimp are excellent grilled and would awesome for a summer BBQ! I like to marinate my shrimp for a couple hours then skewer them (makes grilling them easier).. and don’t over cook them! Once your shrimp turn opaque pink they are done!

Here’s what you need to make my Margarita Shrimp:

  • 1 pound of Wild Caught Raw Shrimp (31-40 count is what size I typically purchase)
  • 2oz Tequila
  • Juice from 2 Limes
  • 1 Large Clove of Garlic, pressed
  • 1/2t Dried Cilantro or Dried Parsley
  • Sea Salt and Pepper
  • Pinch of Crushed Red Pepper

If your shrimp are frozen, thaw in a bowl of cool water. Peel and devein your shrimp, leaving tails on if desired for presentation. Put your thawed, cleaned shrimp in a zipper close plastic bag along with the rest of the ingredients.. seal up your bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to over night.

You can grill these on your BBQ Grill or indoors in a grill pan, even sauté them in a skillet (with a little healthy cooking fat like my Ultimate Healthy Whipped Cooking Oil, Homemade Ghee or a Perfectly Portioned Coconut Oil!)

These are great wrapped up in a Homemade Cilantro Lime Tortilla, with some sliced avocado and chopped cilantro for a quick meal!
