Sneaky Mushroom Cacao Frappuccino
There aren’t many times that I am as excited as I am right now to be sharing an exciting new product with you! I admit that I was completely blown away with what a genius idea Four Sigma Foods had when they created instant coffee, teas and hot cocoa that sneakily contain some of the world’s most healthiest mushrooms!
As you all know, I am a huge advocate for incorporating wild mushrooms into your everyday diet. However, I know it can sometimes be inconvenient to go on a hike to forage wild mushrooms and some people are uncomfortable eating mushrooms they find outside. Let alone trying to convince those of you who just plain don’t like mushrooms to begin with to not only eat mushrooms but to learn to find them in the wild yourself.
These awesome beverage mixes from Four Sigma Foods are a perfect way to sneak some of those health benefits of mushrooms into your morning coffee, tea or hot cocoa… or in this case in place of your fancy-smancy frappuccino!
Why should you be drinking or eating your mushrooms? Here are 5 reasons why you need to make wild mushrooms part of your morning coffee:
- Nature already has all the solutions
- Eating or drinking your medicine is way more fun and easy
- Fungi has been studied as a potential cancer treatment
- Mushrooms are paleo-friendly
- Four Sigma Foods donates a portion of their profits to cancer patients
The only thing that’s even more exciting that getting a healthy dose of mushrooms in a delicious frappuccino is that I got to create this fun recipe with my favorite, niece, Caitlyn! She’s just like many of you who want to eat a healthier diet and incorporate things like wild mushrooms but still want the fun drinks that are so popular (like frappuccinos)…. This recipe was one that she was excited to create with me.. one that is perfect for anyone look ing to take the leap into healthier eating.

WOW!! I love everything mushrooms, whether raw, in soup, or I guess now in a frappe!! I can never drink frappes cuz of all the sugar, so this will be a treat. My only concern is all the calories. Most drinks I have seen with canned coconut milk are 400-500 calories. Can you provide me with the nutritional stats? Break it to me easy. Thanks.
I do not count calories nor do include them in my recipes. You are welcome to calculate them – you just plug the ingredients into a calorie tracker. All calories are not created equally.
