A sloppy Joe sandwich is an American classic made of ground beef in a seasoned tomato sauce served on a hamburger bun, originating in the early 1900s. For a healthier version, I’ve eliminated the bun and made our sloppy Joe sauce from scratch (which eliminates any grain-containing thickeners commonly found in processed sauces) and served it on a baked potato for a delicious twist the whole family will enjoy. Of course, you can make a sloppy Joe sandwich using my Sliceable Sandwich Bread (page 38 of Without Grain), if you prefer.
I’m super excited that Raia at Raia’s Recipes is sharing her review of my newly released, published cookbook Without Grain. She’s also sharing a sneak-peek recipe for my delicious Sloppy Joe Baked Potatoes and giving away a copy of Without Grain, too!
