Easy Vodka Berry Sorbet
With my Vodka Berry Sorbets stashed away in the freezer, I know that I’ll never be caught without an amazing treat for visiting friends, no matter how last minute the get together is!
Here’s one of those times where I’m excited to share a rather simple recipe, one that requires the simplest, most basic of ingredients and will take you just minutes to make. However, behind the scenes there was a lot that went in to it…
Like really science-y stuff.
One of those times where high school chemistry came in super handy…
How to make a Berry Sorbet with Vodka
There’s a special balance that you MUST find when it comes to the perfect sorbet. Too often you’ll find recipes where they get rock hard after freezing. The kind that you get so angry when trying to scoop out you’ll want to throw the scooper across the room.
See that glorious, perfectly soft enough to scoop but not too soft, sorbet?
It’s a pretty magnificent thing.
There’s a secret ingredient that makes that perfectly scoopable magic happen… Vodka.
It’s perfect for summer get togethers for Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July! Vodka Berry Sorbet made with Blue-Blueberries, Red-Strawberries and creamy vanilla ice cream.
Oh and did I mention how easy my Patriotic Vodka Berry Sorbet is to make?
OMG.
Simply toss frozen berries, simple syrup (aka sugar water) and Absolut® Vodka in your blender and process until super smooth.
Strawberries and blueberries work the best. Red and Black Raspberries are simply too seedy.
While my Vodka Berry Sorbet is amazing eaten on it’s own, we LOVE it paired with vanilla ice cream for a real Red-White & Blue treat!
It reminds me of those frozen ice and custards you get, only made for adults, with Absolut Vodka!
