A little sweet, a little tart flavor.. this cool and crisp salad will make your taste buds smile! While this delicious broccoli salad is commonly known as “Broccoli Salad” it is primarily made up of both fresh Broccoli and Cauliflower tossed in a sweet and sour mayonnaise based dressing.
However, you can make it with ALL broccoli as the main ingredient, if you’d prefer to leave out the cauliflower. (but I really feel that the cauliflower is a great addition, and high encourage leaving it in this easy low carb broccoli salad recipe)

Is Broccoli Salad Keto?
The traditional broccoli salad that most of us are familiar with is NOT keto friendly since it is made with high carb sweeteners like sugar or honey. My mom made a variation of this classic broccoli salad when I was growing up, but it wasn’t low carb or keto friendly. My version is as delicious as you expect, but without the sugar and carbs and loaded with ample healthy fats (which is my favorite part of this perfect recipe)
This keto broccoli bacon salad recipe (as written) contains 8 grams of total carbs per serving with 2 grams of fiber, yielding 6 grams net carbs per serving. Full nutritional information, including the carb count, can be found in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

How to Make Keto Broccoli Salad
Making a this low carb broccoli salad recipe is incredibly easy and will quickly become one of your family’s favorite keto side dishes, for mains like chicken and burgers. Perfect for easy meal prep and family gatherings too! It’s also the perfect side dish to take with you on your next pot luck!
Here’s the easy instructions:
One of the first things that I do when making this raw broccoli salad is make the bacon! I coarsely chop raw bacon before frying over medium high heat until crispy. Then transferring them to a paper towel (or layers of paper towels) to drain and cool while I put together the rest of this healthy keto side dish.
Next I prepare my broccoli by trimming it into florets.
You can absolutely chop the broccoli stalk to use in this keto salad, but I prefer to save mine for other recipes. Shredded broccoli stalks are wonderful in stir fries and broccoli slaw!
Make sure everything is in bite sized, small pieces!
You will need roughly 8 cups total of all broccoli or broccoli + cauliflower for this Keto Broccoli Salad Recipe.
A great way to measure the best vegetables, I use my THIS glass measuring cup. Of course individually measure each cup of raw broccoli but trust me you don’t need to be that accurate with your measurements for this quick side dish recipe!
In a large mixing bowl / large bowl, combine the broccoli florets, cauliflower, shredded cheese, chopped red onion and cooked crispy bacon.
Before you ask, NO we are NOT using a prepared dressing! This easy keto broccoli salad recipe uses a homemade dressing.
In a separate bowl / small bowl, mix together mayo, vinegar, monk fruit, salt and pepper together as a tangy & creamy dressing and pour overtop your broccoli bacon salad. (this tangy dressing for Keto Broccoli Salad Recipe would also be yummy on a keto coleslaw, too!)
Give it all a good toss to coat everything with the broccoli salad dressing!!! Ideally you want to let this keto broccoli cauliflower salad sit in the fridge for roughly 24 hours for the flavors to come together best.

Keto Broccoli Salad Recipe FAQs
Can I cook the Broccoli for this Keto Broccoli Salad?
If you need to have a softer texture for your broccoli instead of raw, I would not suggest fully cooking it (steaming or boil). Instead I would recommend a quick blanch in a boiling pot of salted water for 3 minutes with an immediate chill in an ice bath, ice water or cold water. After your crisp-tender broccoli is completely cooled, drain the excess water and use as you would fresh in this recipe.
Can I use sour cream instead of Mayonnaise?
You are always welcome to modify the original recipe any way that suits your tastes or needs, however I feel this salad is BEST with a mayonnaise based dressing.
How to store Keto Broccoli Salad
Store your keto broccoli salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
How long will Keto Broccoli Salad stay fresh?
To be honest, ours is normally consumed in the first 1-2 days since it’s so delicious. That being said, with any mayonnaise based salad it’s best to enjoy it within 5 days.
